How did you hear about FAT?
I stumbled upon FAT on Instagram a few years back during the initial lockdown, and participated in a couple of the online workouts. More recently, I launched my own fitness Instagram account and decided to follow both FAT and Active Convenience Store, leading to coaching opportunities Kevin reached out to me about.
Describe yourself in 3 words :)
Ambitious, resilient and humble.
What is your Health and Fitness background?
I grew up as a competitive water skier, and have always been an active being both inside and outside of the gym. My journey formally entered the fitness industry when I became a group fitness instructor at Les Mills in 2022, teaching a variety of classes including Tone, Body Attack, Pilates, Shapes, Ceremony, and Strength Development (just a few lol!). This passion for instructioning led me to pursue my personal training qualification in 2023, knowing that I was meant to be in the fitness industry.
What are your top 3 pieces of advice to build a Healthy routine?
- Consistency: Make movement a daily habit, no matter its form or duration.
- Listen to your body: Practice kindness and awareness towards your body’s needs and how it's feeling, it can tell you a lot.
- Holistic lifestyle habits: Address all areas of your lifestyle as essential components of your health routine, including sleep, nutrition, rest, and mental well-being. Personally, I like to track daily habits in my diary to keep myself accountable and then also gives me an insight into my overall lifestyle.
Do you have any 2024 fitness/lifestyle goals?
My fitness focus for 2024 revolves around maintaining and enhancing my strength and stability. I’d also like to tackle another half marathon, with the possibility of pushing myself further to complete my first full marathon (we’ll see!). I'm also working on integrating more stretching and body recovery practices into my routine.
What is your favourite and worst exercise?
Favourite: Can’t beat a classic Burpee
Worst: Froggies (death from 1 rep!!)
