How did you hear about FAT?

I heard about FAT through Instagram and friends attending classes and posting about it. I also jumped online and participated in a few classes throughout the first lockdown which was an awesome way to keep moving and stay connected.

Describe yourself in 3 words

Energetic, joyful and lover-of-life

What is your health and fitness background?

I have been a group fitness instructor for a few years now and also have a huge passion for yoga as a student but also a certified yoga teacher. I have grown up with a love for movement including ballet, contemporary, hockey and touch rugby. I think its super important to move my body in a way that makes me feel mighty fine, whether that be practicing yoga, pumping weights, attending group fitness classes or dancing around the house.

What are your top 3 pieces of advice to build a healthy routine?

1) Grounding yourself in nature - get those feet and hands in the earth! 2) checking in with your breath throughout the day, trying to deepen it into the belly and re-connect to the self. 3) Find what works for YOU, not what you think you should be doing. You have all of the answers inside for what you know will be healthy in your body so trust your intuition.

Do you have any 2023 fitness / health / lifestyle goals?

As a Capricorn it is embedded in me to be a goal-oriented person, however, I have stepped away from this recently and my words for this year are simply; spontaneity, adventure and freedom. Living in a way that sets my soul on fire and lights me up! If it’s not a ‘heck yes!’ then I don’t want it.

What are your most and least favourite exercises?

I LOVE to train my back so anything back oriented is a big tick for me. Them Bulgarians really get me aye… so good but so tough!

What advice would you give to a FAT first timer?

If you’re feeling nervous to come and try FAT for the first time, that means you are doing something that is going to challenge you and make you feel absolutely incredible afterwards. Knowing that you conquered those nerves will beat the feeling in the first place.

What do you want to learn in 2023?

How to surf! The process has begun but we have a long way to go…
