The BEEP TEST is back, but why?

The Beep Test is a popular fitness assessment tool designed to measure your aerobic capacity and endurance. It's an excellent way for runners to gauge their fitness progress and set benchmarks for improvement, and it’s accessible for everyone, regardless of your current fitness level.

Why you should try it:
- Measure progress: The Beep Test provides a clear measure of your cardiovascular fitness and endurance, allowing you to track improvements over time.
- Set goals: By knowing your current fitness level, you can set realistic training goals and stay motivated throughout your marathon preparation.
- Identify strengths and weaknesses: The test helps identify areas where you may need to focus on, whether it's increasing your stamina or improving your speed.
- Motivational tool: For those who appreciate seeing tangible results, the Beep Test can significantly boost your confidence and commitment to your training program.

How to do it:
- Setup: You'll need a flat, straight course of 20m, a Beep Test audio recording

, and cones or markers to set the distance.
- Warm-up: Ensure to warm-up to prepare your muscles and joints for the test.
- Begin the test: Stand behind one of the markers and wait for the beep to start. Run to the opposite marker before the next beep sounds.
- Pace yourself: The beeps will gradually get faster, requiring you to increase your pace. Continue running back and forth, touching the line with at least one foot each time.
- Completion: The test ends when you can no longer keep up with the beeps. Note the level and shuttle number you reached as your score.

Tips and tricks:
- Maintain a steady pace and try not to start too fast.
- Focus on your breathing to stay relaxed and efficient.
- Stay positive and push through the discomfort, especially as the beeps get faster.
